Embassy and consulate services
First of all, you need to make your application in the UAE, as you can’t do so in your home country. Please check if you need a visa to enter the UAE first. If you do, your employer should organize that for you. If not, then you need to make an entry visa. To this end, you need to provide a valid passport, an application form, and a covering letter from your employer, on company letterhead. Normally, this process takes one business day. The process is the same as renewing your visa. Once your application is accepted, you should be able to pick up your visa from the UAE Embassy in your home country. The time for this part varies according to your home country.
The UAE Embassy and Consulate work on the basis of the Code of Business Conduct for Handling Cases of other Nationalities in the UAE and Consulates. The code also sets out the procedures and regulations that are to be followed by the staff in dealing with the cases of other nationalities in the UAE and Consulates. If a UAE national files a complaint about another Emirati national or a foreigner, the complaint can be addressed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of labor, and Ministry of Interior in the UAE and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the concerned country.
